Reading Challenge Platform
Summer Reading and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenges
Beanstack is an online reading platform that allows families to set up, log in, and manage each member’s reading challenges in one central location. Easily track your reading and complete challenges to earn incentives and prizes this summer!
Follow these steps to register:
- Visit stmarylibrary.beanstack.org.
- Click “Register an Individual or Family.”
- Choose to register yourself or your child; if registering a family, select “I am registering myself” and fill in the required fields, then add other members.
- Select at least one reading challenge for the registrant’s age group; you can pre-register for challenges that haven’t started yet.
- Click “Log Reading and Activities” to start your challenge and increase your chances of winning a prize.
Note: Minutes logged before June 2 do not count toward the 600-minute goal.
Reminder:
When logging into your Beanstack account, you’ll be prompted to review participant information. Remember to manually update grade levels for correct challenge placement, as this affects prize levels. You can begin recording minutes on June 2. Please remember that any reading done prior to June 2 will not be included.

READ The mobile app allows you to time your reading sessions to keep track of your minutes.
RECORD Open the app and scan barcodes to add titles to your log quickly.
