Summer Reading Program
St. Mary Parish Library offers a six-week reading program for all children (Babies & Toddlers-5th grade), teens (6th-12th grade), and adults (19+) designed to encourage reading in a fun, non-academic environment. The goal is to increase READING.
All participants are required to log a minimum of 600 minutes in order to successfully complete the program. Reading only 15 minutes per day will complete your summer goal!
Log Minutes
Beanstack is a digital way to participate in St. Mary Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program. With Beanstack, you can track the minutes you read over the summer, log activities, and more. There are two ways to use Beanstack: with the free app or online at stmarylibrary.beanstack.org
Registration begins May 5, 2025.
Earn Prizes
Participants can earn rewards by reading and logging minutes on Beanstack. The more you read, the greater chance you’ll have to win a grand prize!

All age programs are offered at each library branch, free to attend. From story times, crafts, and STEM activities, there’s something for everyone! Check the calendars page for events, performances, and activity listings.
