What is Outreach?
The St. Mary Parish Library System is committed to serving all neighborhoods and communities in our parish. To help us do that, we offer a variety of outreach services, both in-person and virtual, throughout the parish. From school and class visits to community meetings, neighborhood events, and festivals, we can customize our presentations, programs, and activities to accommodate any and all ages, multiple formats, and entertaining or educational needs. Outreach services include any activities that occur outside of the traditional library setting.
The Library does not attend private events, and takes requests on a first-come, first-served basis, and will only attend events that support the Library’s Mission.
Outreach staff members are dedicated to providing the materials and services our patrons in need, enhancing the library’s presence in the community, and offering computer and technology assistance to keep people connected to friends, family, information and resources.
