cloudLibrary

The St. Mary Parish Library has transitioned to a new eBook and eAudiobook lending platform. The new platform, cloudLibrary™, provides an app that is extremely easy for all users and allows the library to manage its content and offer more to you through a partnership with other libraries across Louisiana. The cloudLibrary app can be found in app stores, or you can find the link at www.yourcloudLibrary.com. Download the app to begin browsing, borrowing, and reading/listening to our collection. Once the app is added to your device, there is a simple, one-time sign-in process of selecting the library and entering your library card number and pin (last 4 digits).

Browse and check out popular titles from your library
Whether you’re browsing on the web, on a tablet, or on your personal device, you can browse the shelves that your library set up by category or you can use the filter button to filter by genre. All of this helps you to discover the content you want to read quickly and easily.

All your books in one place
cloudLibrary keeps all your books in-sync, meaning that wherever you choose to read your books you’ll always have the same content with you. Your books stay connected across all of your devices. The system will automatically remember which page you left a title on, allowing you to pick up that great novel from where you left off.

•How many e-books & audiobooks can I check out?
You can check out a total of 6.

•How many Holds can I have at one time?
You can place up to 15 Holds.

•How do Holds work?
When you put a hold on an item, the screen will show the maximum waiting period. Keep in mind that patrons frequently return items ahead of time, so you might not have to wait the full duration. To view your holds, go to My Books and click on Holds.

•How do I get notified a Hold item is ready?
You will receive a message in your Message tab. If you would rather receive notifications via email, please input your email address in the Email Notifications section. Alternatively, you can visit the Holds tab in My Books, where you will find the item ready for checkout. Remember, you have 3 days to complete the checkout process for the item on hold.

•How do I cancel a Hold?
Go to My Books, click on Holds, and click on Remove Hold next to the item.

•How do I renew an eBook?
The cloudLibrary app does not have a renewal function. If a book is on hold it will automatically transfer to the next person in the queue. If the book is not on hold you can go through the checkout process again by simply going to history and clicking on the title you would like to borrow if available, or put on hold.

•Can I return an e-book or audiobook early?
Yes. Go to My Books and click on the Return button next to that item.

•How do I make an e-book or audiobook suggestion?
Under Filters, click e-books and/or audiobooks, then Suggestions. Search for a CloudLibrary title that St. Mary Parish Library does not have & click the Suggest to Library button.

•Can I keep track of what I read using cloudLibrary?
Yes. Reading history is automatically saved for you in your account and is not visible to anyone else.
